Relaxation Through Rock Painting

Rock painting is a simple and fun way to calm down after a long, stressful day. Whether your rock is a tribute to someone or just a reminder to “breathe”, this peaceful activity can be a calming way to let your creativity roam while also relieving stress.

Once you’re done, these helpful stones can be placed around the house or be given as gifts!

The act of rock painting is pretty self explanatory. First, you’re going to need to find several smooth rocks (preferably ones that stand on their own). The ideal rocks are found near rivers or lakes, however, if these are not accessible to you, then you may find luck in parks or woods.

Take a damp paper towel and gently brush off any excess dirt from your rock. By doing so, your rock will dry faster and be ready for painting sooner! After your rock is clean, figure out a message or image that you would like your rock to portray! Finally, paint away with acrylic paint!

Hopefully, you can use this project to your advantage and find some sort of entertainment or stress relieving techniques that can help you control your anxiety and decompress.
